Baxter’s Pinnacle is the “classic” one-day climb in the Tetons!

The photo on the left is the final exposed pitch to the summit of the pinnacle and the photos above show the far mellower lower pitches. A 45-minute hike up beautiful Cascade Canyon leads to the beginning of the climb. The climb is six fun pitches, the summit is spectacular and the overhanging rappel to get off the pinnacle is exhilarating.

If you are new to climbing at least one day of preparation is required before a climb of Baxter’s.  For experienced climbers its a great introduction to climbing in the Tetons and can be used as a warm up climb before taking on the Grand Teton.

Many of our climbers come back year after year for day on Baxter’s. Give it a try and you will understand why!
