Because Jackson has a very active climbing community, many climbing items are available for rental at reasonable rates. In general, you must provide your own clothing items, as it is difficult if not impossible to rent them.

Exum Mountain Guides

Approach Shoes
Exum stocks approach shoes in most sizes.  Approach shoes are used in all group schools and for most climbs.
$10 per day.

Boots
Exum stocks a limited number of boots. Boots are generally only used in early season when there is still considerable snow in the range. 
$10 per day.

Crampons
Exum stocks crampons appropriate for use in the Tetons.
$10 per day.

Backpacks
Exum has some day packs and occasionally larger packs appropriate for use on the Grand Teton.
$10 per day.

Exum provides helmets, harnesses, carabiners, belay devices, and ice axes free of charge for use by Exum guided climbers.

Rental equipment at Exum can only be rented to individuals climbing with our guides. The shops listed below would be happy to rent items to all climbers.

Moosely Seconds

Located in the Dornans complex at Moose Junction eight miles south of Jenny Lake, Moosely Seconds is the nearest shop to our summer office. Moosely rents a wide variety of equipment, including shoes. Open summers only.
