Guiding Since 1999
Eric has been climbing for nearly twenty years. Eric enjoys the many facets of climbing, from big walls to boulder problems, mountaineering to steep water ice and mixed climbs. His passion for climbing naturally led him to a guiding career starting on Mt Rainer and progressing to the Teton Range working for Exum in 2003.
Eric has guided trips from Alaska to South America and is a multi-year instructor at the Khumbu Climbing School in Phortse, Nepal. Aside from climbing and guiding in the summer, Eric is an avalanche forecaster for the Gallatin National Forest in Montana during the winter months and an avalanche forecaster for the Going-to-the Sun Road in Glacier National Park during their springtime plowing operations.
