The Wind River Range

The Wind River Range is one of America's most spectacular wilderness ranges. This vast 110-mile uplifted spine offers limitless climbing and hiking in a remote setting.

The jagged peaks of the northern range are draped with the largest glaciers in the American Rockies and abound with climbs of all lengths and difficulties.

The southern Winds are one of America's premiere mountain rock playgrounds with dramatic spires and massive walls rising above exquisite meadows and lakes. Both on- and off-trail hikers will relish the Winds' lonely canyons, treeless plateaus, stunning alpine basins and lakes.

Exum is excited to offer custom private climbing and backpacking trips into this mountain paradise. Climbing trips are based out of a camp in one or two areas. Backpackers may plan loops and traverses that link several areas. Pack animals are also available to help carry in loads.

Listed below are some of Exum’s most popular Wind River trips. Please call for information on other areas.
