Difficult Day Climbs

All three of these climbs are classics, mentioned and described in all the guidebooks and the subjects of many stories, some happy, some epic! There are often even harder variations than what the guidebooks describe--if your want to push yourself. And there are sometimes (!) easier variations in case you want to hedge your bets. If you want to test yourself, these are the rock climbs to do. Each is beautiful in its own manner, each guide has his or her favorite, and each allows you to earn your beer and bragging rights. Go for it!
