Ski Mountaineering

Skier and Teton Range. Photo: Exum CollectionThe steep mountain faces and the 7,000 vertical feet of eminently accessible terrain make the Tetons the nation's most sought-after area for ski-mountaineering.

Whether you are building up to something bigger, like skiing the Grand, or simply looking for a fabulous mountain adventure, skiing or snowboarding one of the Teton's spectacular summits is a truly rewarding experience.

Our difficulty ratings (low, moderate and high) assume that skiers are comfortable on black diamond runs and have experience skiing off-piste powder snow. In other words, "low difficulty" means low difficulty for a practiced powder skier. If you are unsure of your ability please call our office to discuss your experience and your options.

Many of our guides are also ski instructors. We can help you improve your skills whether you have little or no experience skiing off-piste, or are an experienced backcountry skier.
