Grand Teton, One-Day Private Climb
For the fit and experienced climber, Exum's one-day privately guided ascent is the perfect way to climb the Grand Teton. You will meet your guide after midnight at the Exum office, and then drive to the Lupine Meadows trailhead to begin the strenuous seven-mile, 5,000-foot hike to the Lower Saddle between the Middle Teton and Grand Teton. You will only need to carry your day's food and clothing. Your guide will provide all necessary climbing equipment. Above the Lower Saddle, depending on the weather and your speed, you and your guide will choose to climb either the Owen Route or the Exum Ridge.
Plan to reach the summit sometime during the late morning hours. Your knees will remember the descent --7,000-feet and approximately 8 miles. You should be back to the valley before dinner.
