Grand Dynamics
Grand Dynamics describes The Grand Adventure as an odyssey of the body, mind and spirit. It's a 6-month personal mastery program that includes two group weekends in scenic Jackson Hole, Wyoming featuring national peak performance experts; and a bi-weekly conference call series that includes coaching, training, goal setting, leadership and emotional intelligence discussion. The program culminates in climbing school and a 2-day Grand Teton ascent, which Tim Walther, President, says is "more than climbing one of the most pristine mountains in North America ... it's about creating powerful momentum to achieve anything that is important in your life."
Grand Dynamics focuses on experiential training and development for three primary markets: corporate retreats; business consulting; and health and wellness. The program incorporates adventure travel, health and wellness and leadership development strategies, giving people the tools they need to move forward at their own pace, meeting their own goals in our fast-paced society. The Grand Adventure has been featured in national publications, including a feature television show on Fox Sports News in 2003 and is sponsored by Nike ACG.
This year's The Grand Adventure program begins with introductory team conference calls and kicks off June 4th, 2004 in Jackson Hole at the Peak Performance Weekend. Team members from around the country come together for an action packed weekend complete with personal assessment, health and wellness strategies, team building, and coaching by renowned experts in the field. This year's coaches who will be featured throughout the six month program include: Stu Mittleman, author of "Slow Burn," and ultra-marathoner, Caroline Smith, author of "Metabolism Magic," Gurucharan Khalsa, author of "Breathwalk" and world-known Kundalini Yoga expert; Rich Handley, emotional intelligence expert and author of "Optimizing People"; Al Read, Exum Mountain Guides owner and world-class mountain guide; and Tim Walther, Grand Dynamics President. World renowned mountaineer, Stephen Koch, of the Seven Peaks fame will also be a Grand Adventure guide. Jenni Haines, the newest staff addition with Grand Dynamics will be speaking about her experience at the California Woman's Leadership Conference in October.
TGA 2004 already has representatives from a variety of corporations across the country as well as local Jackson Hole participants. Past TGA participants have experienced dramatic, positive, life-changing results.
The Grand Adventure's final weekend, and the ascent of the Grand Teton, will take place in August 25th -30th of 2004 and includes two-days of climbing school, a day of rest and then the two day ascent.
"People are sometimes concerned with the time commitment to participate in this program," says Walther, "but the program is designed to generate more time for folks by providing them more energy and teaching them to use their time more efficiently. And with only two weekends physically spent in Jackson Hole, the remainder of the program is run by our conference call system, where members get to call in and share what they're learning and integrating in to their lives. The featured guest speakers provide the opportunity for participants to ask questions and get input. It works very well for busy corporate executives."
The Grand Adventure costs $2,995 per person (not including personal travel to and from Jackson Hole). Those that are interested in the Peak Performance Weekend alone, may participate in this weekend and additional conference calls with supporting information and experience as a customized package.
As a component of The Grand Adventure with Grand Dynamics, Inc., Brian Prax, accomplished Exum Mountain Guide, will present training-specific strategies for preparing for any mountaineering experience. This presentation will be part of the Peak Performance Weekend, which is filled with amazing presenters providing strategies on overall fitness, nutrition, mental focus, and goal setting. In addition, Stephen Koch, Exum Guide and Seven Summits Mountaineer and Snowboarder, will present an inspirational slide show on mountaineering and climbing the Grand Teton on Saturday evening.
This is an annual weekend provided by Grand Dynamics, Inc., a Jackson based training and development company providing services for corporate retreat, business consulting and health and wellness markets.
