Multi-Pitch Mountaineering Level II (Intermediate School)

This course is for Multi-Pitch Mountaineering Level I graduates or experienced climbers who would like to learn more about technical climbing and improve their climbing technique on moderate rock routes. This class is geared specifically toward training for the Grand Teton. Please see our current rates for this school.
Curriculum:
- body position, hand and foot holds for climbing steep rock
- steep downclimbing
- review knots, basic anchoring and belaying
- anchoring and placing protection on exposed terrain
- using belay devices
- belaying a lead climber
- mountainside rope management
- two multi-pitch climbs (5.5 to 5.8)
- 110 foot overhanging rappel
- belayed downclimbing
- intermediate toproping (5.6 to 5.10)
