Private Guiding

Hiring a private guide allows you to receive maximum personal attention during your climbing experience with Exum. Some of our clients hire private guides because they have special needs that only a personal guide could appropriately attend to. Other clients want to be assured that the guide will move at his or her pace, whether slow, medium or fast. Some simply prefer a one on one situation or have specific goals with a specific guide.

For additional cost, you may request a specific guide or entrust us to select a guide for you who will best suit your needs and wants. If you have a specific guide in mind, we must first verify his or her availability before reserving dates and climbs with that guide.

If you are joining a group climb and would like to request a specific guide, we will do our best to arrange that guide, but cannot guarantee it. Similarly, if your party constitutes a full group (for example, a family of four on the Grand Teton), you again may request a specific guide, but we cannot guarantee that guide unless you pay the private rate and he or she is available.
